Beautiful cake, I read that your cake is covered in fondant and decorated with royal icing? How did you get your royal icing to stick to the fondant? i have worked with fondant a few times but have never used royal icing. I want to decortate a fondant covered cake but with icing instead of fondant. would like to do some flowers and maybe some rope design around the edges. Any advice??
Thank You
Shelby
I just make a basic royal icing (this one was made with meringue powder, basic recipe) and pipe it on there using different tips depending on what kind of design I want. It actually just sticks on there, very well if I might add! Good luck with it!
